Carburetor removal from motorOutboards1966 Evinrude 33HP Outboard

a. Disconnect fuel line at carburetor. See Figure 3-5. Remove throttle lever link by removing lever pin at throttle arm.

b. Remove starter motor.

c. Remove two nuts and lockwashers attaching carburetor to intake manifold. Disconnect solenoid lead at screw terminal. Remove carburetor and gasket from intake manifold.

d. Remove cotter pin from bottom end of starter lever lock-out rod. Remove rod from the throttle lever.

e. Remove cut-out switch hose from intake manifold. Remove eleven screws attaching intake manifold to power head. See Figure 3-6. Remove intake manifold from power head.

f. Remove screw attaching leaf plate to crankcase and remove leaf valve assembly, and gasket. See Figure 3-6.
